Replacement axle and gear set for Bachmann J72 split chassis steam locomotives – round drive

3D printed replacement axles and gear for the no longer available Bachmann J72 split chassis locomotives.

New revised tooth geometry. We have re-engineered the gear to overcome some of the 3D printing process limitations, and the gear now meshes with the worm drive much better and gives improved running.

These parts have been reverse engineered from the original Bachmann parts and are 3D resin printed. Each set comprises of 2 plain axles and 1 gear axle. See our other

Note: You will need a back to back gauge to correctly set the wheels on the axles, and you will need to correctly quarter the wheels to ensure the connections rods and cylinders function correctly. As this is a round drive loco kit, you will need a jig to correctly quarter the wheel sets.
