The NEM pocket on Bachmann Mk 1 coaches is too high and requires a stepped tension hook coupling. This limits the possibilities for other couplings such as KADEE couplings without some modification to either the coach or using a KEEN system drawbar, which is not perfect as the NEM coupling pocket is open and needs to be closed by glueing a piece of plasticard over the recess. These coupling dropper / drawbars overcome both the positional error of the NEM pocket, and have a fully formed NEM pocket, so pop them in and you can fit your choice of coupling straight in. Price is for a pair of droppers / drawbars.

3D printed replacement final drive gear set (2 gears) to fit the Mainline Warship. You will notice the original Mainline final drive gear was a double gear. The smaller diameter gear is not used in the final drive application and so, for simplicity, we have omitted the smaller gear from our replacement.
Please note, these have been endurance tested without lubrication, please do not lubricate as the lubricant used may affect the material. Designed to be a push fit on the axle, Mainline did not provide either a positive location or spline to stop the gear rotating on the axle. Once the correct position of the gear on the axle has been determined, we recommend bonding in place with a small amount of super glue.

With nickel silver rails, the traction magnets no longer aid traction, and cause the wheel sets to pull over to one side. Replacing the magnets with our 3D resin printed alternatives will allow the locomotive to run with centred wheels, while maintaining the other function of the magnet, holding the armature bearings in place and allowing improved low speed running of these old locomotives.
