ASIS3D is sponsoring the construction of a brand new OO gauge model railway based on the long lost Newport Pagnell station on the Wolverton – Newport Pagnell branchline in Buckinghamshire. Known locally as the “Newport Nobby”, the railway ran for 4 miles and ran 12 passenger trains each way at its peak. Closed to passnegers services in September 1964 with a daily freight train running on for a few years, this is a line that was financilly viable with passenger numbers other branchlines could only dream of due to the use by workers getting to and from the LNWR railway works at Wolverton. The model will be of the Newport pagnell station area and including buildings from the adjacent flour mill and houses in Broad Street. There is nothing remaining of the station area, it is now a housing estate, but the line is now a cycle way and part of the Milton Keynes red way network. All building, platforms, signals and lineside equipment will be 3D printed and all buildings will be available to purchase from our website at a later date.
